A.J. Purdy is an exhibiting Artist, Freelance Communication Designer, Illustrator, Type Enthusiast and Zine maker and collaborator living outside of Philadelphia. He graduated from the University of the Arts earning his BFA in Graphic Design, and was awarded a year long scholarship in Visual Communication to the Fabrica research center in Italy. Out now and available through Islands Fold ‘Boing #2’ is a comic book where he’s featured with fellow artists Andy Rementer, Matt Furie, Jim Stoten, Ben Jacques and Luke Ramsey. The theme of his week long guest writer posts pertain to handmade books and zines made by Philadelphia artists, that are mostly screen-printed.
