Book By Its Cover

Alain Grée

review by Leah

The first issue of PLOC Magazine is a fun publication of games, puzzles, and stories for little ones. It’s filled with happy kids, animals, food, trucks and trains, all by French illustrator Alain Grée. Grée is the author and illustrator of over 300 children’s books, mostly between the 1960s and 70s. His newer work for PLOC Magazine has the same vintage feel, with its graphic and textural illustration style. The object drawings are wonderful — Grée’s simple, iconic shapes can help anyone learn the difference between leeks and beets! You can pick up a copy for your favorite little one here.
