In 1982 and 1983 I created a company called College Coloring Book Company.
Located in Manhattan Beach, CA
I published only two coloring books, one for USC and one for UCLA. Each had 32 illustrations, the coloring books sold for $4.00-$5.00 each. Copyright was obtained for both. Thousands of copies were sold…. The Reagan economy had a negative effect…. many shops didn’t want to try a new product. DARN! Great concept.. Great idea!

Hi…this looks like a great book, I was wondering if there was a way I could maybe get a scan copy of it. I run a GO Ctr…here in Tx, at a local elementary, this looks like it would be a great hit with my kids. The GO center in brief is where the students come and learn about college/universities..basic higher education. Thanks.

that looks great. i definitely would’ve picked that up too! too bad stormville is so far from me, that looks awesome too. I have a really cool old french/english coloring book at home…i should take pics to send to you..i think you’d really like it. :)

I took a children’s illustration class with a guy by that name at Cooper Union 10 years ago (he taught classes at FIT as well). He was a high school classmate of Maurice Sendak’s and wrote and illustrated lots of books including Brooklyn Dodger Days, Tugboats, My Bar Mitzvah, and The Golden Age of Aviation. They are all out of print I’m sure, but amazon lists several of them. This coloring book looks great! Oh, and I absolutely love your blog :)
