Book By Its Cover

Esther Pearl Watson, Mark Todd, Bwana Spoons

This is such a fun little book/zine. It’s one of those flipping books where you get to turn pages to change different parts of a characters body. It’s a collaborative project by Esther Pearl Watson, Mark Todd and Bwana Spoons. The cover is silkscreened and the inside is xeroxed. I like that there’s a Michael Jackson head that I can make have a robot body, skeleton pelvis and monster feet. This book makes me laugh and reminds me of the good ole college days where we would make exquisite corpses during boring classes (art school’s alternative to note passing). You can pick up a copy of this book here.

I love this, but I’m not surprised because their book Whatcha Mean, What’s a Zine is also so good!
