Guilty is so realistically drawn, you feel like you are watching a movie while reading it- with the added bonus of thought bubbles. It’s the story of two ex’s who run into each other on the street and then make plans to hang out and the craziness that happens when they do. It’s a fun and surprisingly engaging read about beer drinking, pot-smoking hipsters. The drawings are just so unbelieveably photographic that you find yourself shaking your head with each turn thinking- geez this took a lot of work and lot of photo-taking for reference. The cover design is so satisfying in it’s color and composition. This book was created with a grant for the Xeric Foundation, a non-profit organization that offers financial aid to self-publishing comic book creators. It was established by Peter A. Laird, a co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. To learn more about how you can apply for a grant, check out their site here. Read more about Guilty here.
