I am impressed by this little book of “important” comics. The loose sketchy style of drawing is a nice change from the tightly rendered style usually used for comics. The handwritten words sometimes don’t fit inside the their bubbles and it’s okay that they break the boundary. The comics are silly and sarcastic and cute and funny. But mostly I appreciate the layout of them across the spread. They are all over the place and colored with big fills of flat color and nice various type treatments for titles. As whole spreads they are quite appealing from afar, and then you get to go further in to read the comics. Dina has an extensive website where you can see much more of her work, videos of other books she made, and shop for this book right here.
