Book By Its Cover

Stephane Blanquet

I’ve been getting super excited thinking about MoCCA this weekend. It’s always an amazing event with guest speakers, signings and of course tables full of comics. One of my favorite tables every year is Buenaventura Press’s. They distribute books from around the world and also publish some of their own. Last year I picked up this over-sized anthology at their table. It’s full of big reproductions of erotic artwork by favorites like R. Crumb, Elvis Studio and Jonathon Rosen. I lost the little book that came inside that apparently was full of poetry. Sad. This is temporarily out of stock on their site but maybe you can inquire to get one, or come to MoCCA and see what new stuff they have.

Last week when I was in NY I went to the Cartoon and Comics museum just because I remembered hearing about it from you! It was rather interesting, just a shame I’m missing the excitement this weekend!

This one is “Le Muscle Carabine #2″, edited by Stephane Blanquet for the french publisher “United Dead Artists” (near to be sold out).

U.D.A. just released “Le Tendon Revolver #2″, one week ago.

Who did the add-face one in the lewer left corner? It looks like an orgy among Dave Cooper, Robert Crumb and Tom of Finland.
