I love how Sarah Vance at Book Slut describes this book:”Spaniel Rage is Sex and the City without movie stars and expensive designer shoes.” It’s the graphic novel of Vanessa Davis’s sketchbooks from 2003 through 2004. It’s like a diary in comic form. She draws scenes and conversations that happened to her and comments on them. It’s so honest and personal and very refreshing to read about a normal woman in her twenties who eats pad kee moo in her underwear in front of an air-conditioner and shops at Marshall’s for discounts. I think if Vanessa and I met we would be friends. She has a site where she posts different entries. Check it out here. And buy the comic here.
