Home Cover

I love the bright and colorful geometric style carried throughout the projects and the design of this book. Home includes a variety of modern projects and some old-fashioned favorites like God’s eyes, a rag rug, and a wooden bead trivet.

Home 2

My favorite parts of this book are the photos of the author’s friends’ homes scattered throughout. Orpin encouraged them to preserve the natural, lived-in state of their homes by not tidying up for the shoot. Its a refreshing departure from the super styled homes often featured on design blogs and magazines.

Home 3

I would like to try making the Color Blocked Chairs and the Bon Bons, tubes filled with confetti and treats often placed at holiday table settings.

Home 5

Any of these 25 projects would be great to do with children. I know I would have flipped over this book as a kid, especially after seeing the page of stickers in the back.
