This book is beautiful!

Paper to Petal-Rainbow Ruffle

I love craft books that are both lovely to look at and focused on simple projects made from inexpensive, everyday materials. Most projects call for double-sided or florist crepe paper and covered floral wire. Other materials suggested include coffee filters, twigs, straws, doilies, and tulle.

The layout of the book makes it easy to use. All of the “beauty shots” are clumped together at the front of the book. It’s great to see all the projects together when deciding which flower to make. From there you are directed to a page in the How-To section, where the instructions lead you to relevant techniques in the Skills section and to the templates in the back of the book.

Paper to Petal includes a variety of projects for gift trimming, centerpieces, holiday party and wedding table settings, garlands, and photo backdrops. I could see putting a few handmade flowers into a little bud vase as a cute hostess or birthday gift.
