I am thinking I might do a top ten books of the year come December. If so this one definitely makes the list. This book is genius! Through turning the pages, you get the entire alphabet, popping out at you, slipping in sideways or reflecting back at you. How the next letter gets revealed is so super clever. An E becomes an F when the bottom bar slips out. A V becomes a W when you hold the mirrored facing page at the right angle. I don’t even need to describe the coolness of this book because you can just watch this video that shows it all. If you like the video, you’ll like turning the pages yourself even more! my friend became obsessed with popups last year and found this book. it really is absolutely amazing. the video definitely needs to be watched to get the whole effect.

first i saw the video and then the book and i was disappointed. The video have more magic and the pop-up structure it seems more grateful them the original.

But is still a nice book to have.

I love it! When I first read the review I misread the author’s name and thought it was the famous chef with the orange crocs and public urination. Have you seen his show on PBS with Gwyneth Paltrow? It’s amazing. Just like this book!
