Book By Its Cover

I always thought the best graphic design job would be to get to design a candy wrapper. This is a book of Japanese chewing gum wrappers. They are bright and fun and make me want to rot my teeth out. There’s lots of weird character art and some painted spacecrafts among tons of great 1950s style typography and graphic elements. It’s just a really enjoyable book to flip through. I got this book at the big Japanese bookstore in NY- Kinokuniya.

this book is my white whale! I saw it several years ago on a japanese books website and searched for days (online) to find it. And here it is again, and again I can’t find it online. Thanks for rubbing it in that you found a copy!
