Book By Its Cover

My list taking has gone digital. I use the Stickies program on my computer for every set of things I need to remember, from stuff I need to get done to who I have to contact to wishlists of clothes I want. But looking at this new book from Princeton Architectural Press, I am realizing I am missing the beauty of the handmade list. This book is full of artist’s lists and some are even illustrated. I like seeing the artist’s natural handwriting and getting a taste of their personality from what they chose to write down. Get a copy here.

i made picture lists of my clothing from age ten? i even made separate cards for individual pieces one year – this, when i was a grown-up, with a grown-up son.

i think i’ll assemble them into a book, just for me.

natural handwriting tells so much more than digital, except if you have your writing made into a font – which i did, via fontifier (i think that’s the name).

i love this.

this is so beautiful. I’ve seen many ‘list’ books before but this just tops them all. Definitely on my (very long) list of books to get!
thanks for sharing

Looks fabulous…I make lists and loose them…NOT very clever…
perhaps this book would inspire me to keep to my lists.
Thanks for sharing.
