Book By Its Cover

I haven’t posted in a while but I couldn’t miss joining the book tour for this amazing new book. Don’t let the size and and beautiful design fool you- this book is filled with technical information. You can learn how to make a variety of repeats in Photoshop and Illustrator. Besides digital techniques, there’s also techniques on hand dying fabric, block printing, silkscreening and stencil printing. There is everything you need to know about making patterns and getting them produced for fabric, or anything else really. It’s quite incredible how much information is jam packed in this book. Aside from that, there are profiles and interviews with pattern designers about their experiences. I am happy to be included as one of those. I can’t recommend this book enough if you are interested in this field. Pick up a copy right here.

This is a great comeback post! I have little patience for digital creating, such as photoshop so I could really use this. I have been drawn to fabrics, textiles, and sewing a lot more lately this is a great book to have. Good post and welcome back!

I just picked this book up from the library, and have decided I need my own copy! I try not to expect too much from publications with lovely looking covers, but Ms. Wisbrun has delivered the goods with this one. Heaps of info and a whole bunch of inspiration. I highly recommend this book for anyone entering textile design for fun or profit.
