Book By Its Cover

This book that recently came out features a couple of my patterns. It’s a book of pattern designs for fashion, product and environment. The book shows both the pattern design and then a photo of the pattern being used. I love the other designers that contributed to this book- Lena Corwin, Ferm Living, Hanna Werning, Deadly Squire, and Dan Funderburgh to name a few. My favorites in the book are Tsang Kin-Wah’s flower wallpaper that is actually made of obscenities and Jon Burgerman’s crazy designs that seem to be made all from one line. It makes such an adorable all-over pattern for a sweatshirt. This book is full of eye candy and will leave you wanting to seek out all the cool patterned stuff out there. Pick up a copy of this book here.

This book looks so great. All good people in it. I need to get this.
I also think Liz might be America’s Next Top textile model.

Hi Julia,
Just a quick note to say that I nominated ‘book by its cover’ for a ‘brilliante weblog’ award on my blog today. I am not quite sure what it means but I thought it would be a good way to promote some of my favourite sites… :)

Please check out my latest post for a bit of an explanation… thanks so much!

Looks great, Julia. I might need to pick this as a required text for my Textile Illustration course next semester!

another for my birthday book wish list!
i realize the ASL print is a repeat print, but your illustrated letters, spelling out the name of your chosen presidential candidate, would be a gentle and “mysterious” way to promote your choice!
for apparel, i would print it on clear vinyl, and layer it over a grey cotton, for a little girl’s hooded rain coat.
