Book By Its Cover

3.13.07
Junzou Terada

The text in this book is entirely in Japanese and French so I’m not really sure what this book is about. Last Gasp seems to say that it’s a “collection of book cover designs for books that don’t exist” but they aren’t even sure. I tried finding it on the website of the publisher PIE books but nothing came up. In any case, the book covers are adorable. They all feature an animal and they are usually doing something people do like smoking cigarettes or playing a musical instrument. They all look old, the pages are yellowed, or the ink is rubbed away. I can’t tell if it was made to look that way. I would love to know more about this book so if anyone knows anything please let me know.
