Book By Its Cover

8.8.07
Eugene Kerozen

The amount of patterns and colors in this book makes my eyes vibrate. It’s full of these weird creatures, some are cute and some are scary monsters. It’s interesting how the lines of the drawings often have little triangles on them like some kind of barbed wire. I am more drawn to the silkscreened end pages where one color is used and I can appreciate the strange drawing. You can learn more about the artist here. This is produced by French publisher Le Dernier Cri but PictureBox has been so kind to carry it and some other hard to find books. They have a new shop you should check out.

What a lovely collection of gorgeous books you’ve put together. Not quite as lovely as your own work though! I think that your patterns are amazing. Thank you for creating them!
