Book By Its Cover

2.8.10

I was browsing the magazine section in Borders the other day with my parents and came across this 3×3 Illustration Annual. I don’t usually buy annuals because they are usually a $20+ pricetag and I have an ever growing bookmarks page full of portfolios just a click away. But I just couldn’t put this book down. Every page had amazing work and I recognized more than half the names as some of my favorite illustrators. The quality of the work was just too outstanding and I kept flipping and flipping that when my parents were ready to go, I had to hold them up to buy it. I don’t know much about 3×3 magazine or their contests but apparently I should! You and I can learn more here.

1.) Wow, gorgeous stuff!
2.) Your use of a real multiplication sign deserves an honorary mention (even the website of 3×3 Illustration Annual uses the “x”). Sorry, but I see that misuse way to often, hence every real multiplication sign strikes me. Yay!

This looks great! Indeed, it’s a little expensive but I think I might get it now.
