Book By Its Cover

Bfree

I really like the strange happy characters Bfree draws. (They remind me of Christopher David Ryan’s characters a little bit except more wild and drawn much looser.) They have bulbous bodies and tall skinny legs often fitted with pointy heeled boots. The colors Bfree uses in some of his work make it even more exciting in hyper neons and bold primaries. But this book is only black and white drawings which let’s you focus more on the lines and shapes of his style. It’s a small relatively thick book that I imagine pretty closely could resemble his sketchbook. You can get a copy of this book here and see more from Bfree here. Be sure to check out some of the weird 3-d stuff he’s done and his installations in galleries- so fun!

I adore those shoes. They some-how sum up my childhood fantasies of yellow submarine powered electric super-shoes.

These drawings are amazing! Thanks for the links, I have fallen in love with his pen and ink work.

I like black & white, and the fact that the drawings are so big, taking so much space on the pages :)
