Book By Its Cover

6.14.10
Olaf Hajek

This book is a collection of the gorgeous work of illustrator Olaf Hajek. It’s a mix of commercial work and personal work, but mostly you can’t tell the difference. This is because Olaf has such an incredible consistent style using vibrant color and texture and lots folk influences. His paintings take you to a beautiful fantasy world. The book is just page after page of full color illustration. It is pure wonderful eye candy. Get a copy here.

For me as a German, it is quite funny to take notice of a faboulous artist who lives just around the corner thanks to Your site… Thank you for posting this. A great choice!

I like this book and I really hope that “Gestalten Verlag” will make similar books about illustrators. As a personal choice I would suggest Atak or Martin Haake.
