I love the look of this sketchbook, I’ll have to add it to my wishlist. I like Nara’s work although not ‘love’, but everyone has an individual style, particularly in this case the ‘mean-spirited’ vs cute element which appeals to the young and rebellious market.

My husband and I had a similar Nara debate a few weeks ago. While I agree that Nara’s a bit overrated, I do really like his work (especially this book and the book From the Depth of My Drawer). I think my favorite thing about his work is that he often makes use of found paper. Lame defense…I know.
