I have always loved this sexy photo book of voyeuristic photos taken by some of the best photographers throughout history. Woman fixing their stockings, couples making-out at parties and topless sunbathers are all captured on black and white film. Each photo is framed in black with nothing else on the page and it’s all printed on soft matte paper. Some of the contributors to this book include Henri Cartier-Bresson, Walker Evans, David Hockney, Dorothea Lange, Cindy Sherman, Edward Steichen, Alfred Stieglitz and Weegee. Could the line-up be any better? I love the subtle photos best- like the Garry Winogrand Untitled photo of a woman writing something with her legs so tightly crosslegged that her feet are slipping out of her shoes. This book is super classy even though it contains a few very dirty pictures. You can get a copy of this book here.
