Book By Its Cover

4.8.09
Megan Whitmarsh

On my way back from picking up some fabric for pillows from my printer I stopped into one of my favorite Brooklyn bookshops Spoonbill & Sugartown . I was excited to find small piles of this tiny hardcover book and I immediately grabbed a copy. It’s a collection of embroidery works and drawings by Megan Whitmarsh. Her yeti’s (”They are a surrogate figure for humanity I guess—the misunderstood misfit.” from her Fecal Face interview) is always up to something cool like wearing thick gold chains and carrying a boombox or gently surfing down a step cliff of blue fabric. This book is a limited edition put out by ROJO magazine and you can get a copy here.
