Book By Its Cover

Yokoyama Yuichi is mostly known for his manga, but I’m more attracted to his paintings. Using rich florescent colors and strange geometric landscapes and figures, the work is mesmerizing. This book has been on my wishlist for some time now, but with such a steep price (Japanese import), I put off buying it for a while. At MoCCA this year Picture Box was doing a 20% off sale on the last day and so this book became mine without a second thought. It’s a gorgeous hardcover and every page is another beautiful reproduction. You can get a copy here.
