Book By Its Cover

John Dilnot

I got this little silkscreened accordion book at the Curiosity Shoppe. Where else would you be able to get an artist book that’s a cataloguing of different types of wood? I felt like wood was something I needed to learn too. I’ve never been able to recognize what type of wood furniture is made of or anything like that. Maybe I will impress my boyfriend next time we are at a store and give a chair a little tap and say- “this oak is quality”. That would be the day. The artist John Dilnot seems to like to do a lot of drawings of different types of things as you can see on his site (Kind of reminds me of Blackstock’s Collections). He sells all sorts of little books and beautiful prints here.
