Book By Its Cover

RxArt

This is a great alternative for your kid’s crappy Disney coloring book. It even comes with a few pages of stickers. I like the idea that I can put shading into a Ryan McGinness, or color out of the lines on a Keith Haring or fill a R.Crumb ink drawing with rainbow colors. This coloring book is a project by the non-profit corporation RxArt who works to bring art to heathcare facilities. Aside from being for sale on their website and in museums, this coloring book is being given out to children in hospitals. Check out the other great projects RxArt is doing and buy your own coloring book here.

What a great idea! Coloring books are usually so uninspiring.

nice one!

do you know ‘a book of lines’ by Paul Cox?
it’s published by Corraini, Italy.

It’s a reverse coloring book, there are no lines but only the colors.

i love the idea, but i didn’t dare jet to draw any line in mine :)

no inside views on the internet…

Thanks Sarah. I haven’t heard of that one. I’ll have to check it out.
