Today is the 100th post on Book By It’s Cover! But’s it’s not going to be about a book exactly. These are trading cards made by artist Ben Finer. They are pretty insane, full of casts of dueling characters like Razor Rozenberg, a Jewish ninja vs. Boozie McFadden, a green bottle of beer. There are ninja octopuses battling ninja whales, Robo Cop battling St. Margret. Each one of these crazy drawings is packed with exciting color and pattern and tiny details that make you laugh. Like true trading cards some of the backs are pieces of a big image which you can put together. The cards are offset printed but the pack covers are handsilkscreened and come in a variety of three color combinations. Five cards come in each pack and you can have the whole series in just three packs that are only a dollar each(!!!!). I know the artist Ben from RISD where his nickname was Evil Ben.
