Book By Its Cover

12.12.07

Congratulations CSR!! I woke up this morning to a winner! The answer was Andrew Schoultz! He uses many contour lines in his drawings which is really the only reason one might guess him. But this was difficult. Thanks everyone who guessed. I think we will have more contests like this in the future.

From CSR “Funny. I saw Andrew Schoultz’s big drawings at a gallery in Chelsea, NYC a few years ago…
so when i saw the image, i thought about his work..”

Below is a photo of the rest of the page.

ps. Check out the winners blog. She happens to make very beautiful illustrations!

Congrats to the winner!

Yes, that was pretty tough. Funny, I even understood that detail as the end of a wood pole.

Great, that you pointed that entry out. I see it for the first time and I am very, very impressed by the works of Schoultz.

And finally: I was pretty surprised about so much giveaway for one right guess. Maybe next time, ask six (bit easier?) giveaway questions, and split the prices?

thanks dk. I wanted the prize to be big since it’s the holidays and our first contest. Maybe next time I will do a bunch of clues and prizes.
