Book By Its Cover

Keri Smith

This is a really cute book, or I should say kit, by Keri Smith, the artist who brought us Wreck this Journal and Living Out Loud. She’s seems to be good at getting people to be more creative. She also has that fun blog- Wish Jar Journal. This book is full of helpful hints about how to be a guerilla artist. It has tons of how tos- stencils, stamps, monoprints, stickers, seed bombs, wheat paste- all explained using adorable little drawings. Then there is a chapter of exercises with projects that include hiding tiny fortunes, hanging your own coupon posters, and making post-it note installations. It even comes with templates- my favorite is a moustache you can cut out and place on a billboard. This book is another great one from Princeton Architectural Press. Get a copy here.
