This was an awesome Christmas present from my friend Caitlin Keegan who has great taste. This is a double cd of 39 songs by 39 bands with all lyrics taken from David Shrigley’s Worried Noodles songbook. I was amazed he got musicians like David Byrne, Franz Ferdinand, Liars, Trans Am, and Scout Niblett to make it songs out of his crazy lyrics. Most of them are really nuts like the same sentence repeated 25 times but the musicians were able to work with it and create something pleasant to listen to. The cds come in the pockets of the nice hardcover songbook which is full of the handwritten lyrics so you can sing along. It also has tons of extra drawings and funny writing bits. The book itself is great but the bonus of the cds makes this a really unique project.
