THIS SATURDAY: Crafternoon with the Exquisite book

Hey, sorry about the lack of posts lately, but I have good reason. i’ve been busy planning fun events for the launch of our Exquisite Book! If you haven’t seen the full list of events, check out our new site right here. We’ll be in NYC, SF and CH!

The first event is coming up this weekend. It will be a day of collaborative drawing! There will be lots of options–a classic exquisite corpse, a hand-sewn double-bound book, a giant scroll, and even a crowdsourced short story. It’ll be lots of fun, and we’ll have the makings for everything on hand–paper, binding supplies, colored pencils and crayons, and plenty of random images from library books and glue sticks for those who want to collage. All you have to do is show up! And as with every Handmade Crafternoon, it’s FREE and there will be a chance to win copies of The Exquisite Book in our raffle–or purchase a copy for yourself. Huge thanks to Jessica Pigza for inviting me and helping me organize the event!

Also, some amazing artists from the book will be there too to draw with us: Jen Corace, Chris Kyung, Arthur Jones, Laura Ljungkvist, and Maxwell Loren Holyoke Hirsch. WOW!

Here’s the details:
Saturday, September 18th, 2:00 to 4:00pm
Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, 42nd Street and 5th Avenue, Margaret Liebman Berger Forum (Room #227, on the northeast corner of the 2nd floor)

SEE YOU THERE!!!!!! In the meantime get inspired by some Surrealists exquisite corpses.
