I had a drink with the talented Alex Eben Meyer after taking a tour of the incredible Pencil Factory studios in Greenpoint Brooklyn. That’s where he sets up shop along with a bunch of my other favorite illustrators and designers. It is there that he works on all kinds of projects from book covers to editorial work, to making the most adorable amp-bear-sand which you can buy on a multitude of products. Alex’s sketchbooks are a real mix of experiments from tape and book page collages to still life realistic drawings of coffee shops to fun robot character designs.
