All day yesterday after Jim Stoten sent over his sketchbook pictures I was feeling all jittery. I am so so excited to show you them because they will blow your mind. Hardly “sketches” his drawings on these pages are insanely detailed crazy worlds. The first two sketchbooks are all drawings and the third is full of collage. I haven’t seen collages this intense ever! So many layers! I wish I could get a closer look at these and feel how stiff the pages must be from all that glued paper. Jim lives/works in London on all kinds of projects from advertisements for J&B Whisky to creating wallpaper for the walls of a children’s library- pretty awesome stuff. This one in particular, Book By It’s Cover , has me drooling all over the place. I could stay in there all day and get nought done, OR, I could get on with my card displays.
