Sketchbook: Rui Vitorino Santos
Today I share the work of Portuguese artist Rui Vitorino Santos. Perusing his blog, I was immediately impressed by the murals he did for a clothing store and the drawing a day series he collaborates on with his friend Julio Dolbeth called pandoracomplexa. They have posted 1300 drawings already. They published a book of 100 of their favorite drawings from the site which you can get here. Rui sent over a glimpse into his sketchbook drawings which have a great sense of humor. I especially enjoyed the animal/human loves and the cross-dressed dog hugger. ha! Thanks so much Rui for sharing!

I love pen & ink. It really lends itself to doodle-y-ness.

wow. this is, different. no offence. i still like it. yet i am only 13 years old and i am exploring new techniques of drawing / painting. this site has given me a more wider view of sketchbooks. i have understood that it doesnt have to be perfect, because you dont have to show anyone, and you can draw whatever comes into your mind. for example here, this person must have a strong view for animals and natrual nature. nice work.
